Ambitious goofyfoot pro surfer from New South Wales, Australia; world-ranked #4 in 2006. Miley-Dyer was born (1986) and raised in Sydney, and started riding waves at nearby Bronte Beach at age eight. 

In 2000, Miley-Dyer, at 14 a star competitive swimmer and lifeguard, was chosen to be an Olympic torch-bearer for the Sydney Games. For her part in the ceremony Miley-Dyer rode a wave to shore perched in a surf lifesaving boat, torch held triumphantly aloft. 

She went on an amateur competitive surfing tear in the early 2000s, winning the Australian under-16 title twice (2000, 2001) and the under-18 title in 2003. Miley-Dyer's first, and best, year on the pro tour came in 2006. She was voted the World Championship Tour's top female rookie and finished the season ranked fourth in the world, while also winning the minor-league World Qualifying Series title, as well as the World Junior Championship. 

Miley-Dyer competed as a pro through 2011, then turned her attention to a white-collar career. She returned to school as a scholarship student in pre-law at the University of New South Wales, and in 2012 the Association of Surfing Professionals named Miley-Dyer the Women’s World Tour Manager.
