Warm, shallow, kidney-shaped body of water, about 500 miles long and 125 miles wide, bordered by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. No chartered surf tours will be offered to the Persian Gulf anytime soon, but a small underground surf culture has taken root, with perhaps a dozen or so American and Australian expatriates foraging for waves along the Gulf's sand...
